I really hate to think about what skills to use to optimize my character in the class I want (in this case, archer), because you have to think about the cap (in this case is 700, +5 each 90 days you stay on the shard, with a total of 20 skill bonus when accomplishing 1 year on the shard), and there’s always something that screws me, maybe because I hate to make specialized classes, or maybe I’m too much used to the non-skill cap thing. Or maybe I’m just not focusing enough. Either way, I get a hard time doing it. There’s always a little bonus when you have X on a certain skill that it’s actually nice for your class, and then you realize that’s you can only have 700 skill points, and the skills you wanted give a total of 1025. For example, Bushido at 120 (I think it was at 120) gives you 20% critical hit, and you’ll want that; you also have Resist that, well, increases your base resists and you can resist spells like Clumsy and Poison or you can decrease greatly the damage from spells like Flamestrike from 40 to about 15 or 10. If Anatomy and Healing are at 110 you’ll be able to heal lethal poison, no questions asked, and Anatomy each 10 skill points it has increases your damage.
Like I said before, it’s those little “secret” bonuses that some skills have that can really screw your entire build and make you go nuts over it, and that’s really getting in my nerves!! ARRGGGHHH
